Lacey Dara is a New York based singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas whose genre-defying sound takes inspiration from the classic country and rock hits she was raised on and the indie pop and R&B she has come to love. Dara’s creative multifaceted storytelling conveys raw emotion and vulnerability in a heartfelt and relatable way, reminiscent of her formative influences, country crossover icons Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Maren Morris, and Kacey Musgraves. According to family lore, Lacey was singing and dancing before she could even speak coherently. As a toddler, mornings were spent singing along to Shania Twain VCRs and having country-pop concerts in the living room complete with sequined accessories and a hot pink Daisy Rock guitar. Today, Dara is focused on creating music with a nostalgic power to stir up long-lost memories and capture universal experiences.
